Saaransh

A movie made in 1984 under the banner of Rajshri Productions, Story and Direction..Mahesh Bhatt, Editor..David Dhawan!! A must watch, a classic made when the big names today were trying for mere establishment.

It was the movie introducing THE actor Anupam Kher (Mr. Pradhan in the movie)…ironically playing the old man in the movie. And the role played by Rohini Hattgandi of a wife, a mother, and that of a hopeful mother…Believing that her son will come back.

The once suicidal husband says to his wife when she wants to end it all..

“It takes guts to Live, not to die….”
“Parvati, the lines on your face symbolize the gist of my life!”

The last scene ends with the couple sitting in the park where Mr. Pradhan had dropped the ashes of their son Ajay and the small stretch of land has plants growing on it or lets say Life…

“You and me die but Life never ends..”

THE END
